Dairy Goats

Debbie Katz brings a wealth of knowledge to the Goat project. Kids (the two-legged variety) will learn the responsibility of caring for a goat. Then on to fairs and goat shows! Join the goat group and you are sure to join in on the fun! Meetings are once a month.

Poway 4H dairy goat group learns basic care for
goats. You don’t have to have a goat to be in our
project, you can just come & learn how much fun
goats are. A big part of our project is learning how
to raise and breed our goats. We also prepare to take
them to the fair and show them at Dairy Goat Shows.

When we are at the fairs it allows the public to
participate and be hands on with the goats.
We can also use the goat's milk to make goat cheese
or goats milk soap.

We meet monthly at Debbie Katz’ home;
16250 Avenida Florencia
Poway 92064
2nd Sunday of the month at 5:00 p.m.
